If you reside in the great (sunshine) state of FLORIDA , please post a response to your location and your desire to attend or host a piano gathering.

The past few years, many of us in the New England area have had the opportunity to bond with our PW founder and #1 member, Frank Baxter.

Frank could almost always be counted in for being in attendance whether it be a small home gathering, a visit to the Cape or one of our larger gatherings at Larry Buck's shop in Lowell, MA.

Now that Frank is settled in at his new home in FL, we wish for him the support of FL members to keep him actively involved in a few lively spirited gatherings.

Note: Not that Frank hasn't already found happiness in FL; this would just be considered a little extra thrill!! wink

I live in Boca and am new to this concept of piano gatherings, but it sounds like fun

What exactly do you all do?

PGB... besides playing the piano, we eat lots of great food; compliments of each guest.

For myself, getting involved in piano gatherings has been a life changing experience. Let's just say I've never had piano friends.

Our New England gatherings have been nothing but relaxed. Guests play whenever they are ready and if you don't feel like playing, just enjoy listening to those that do play.

It's taken me a few years so get my nerve up and sit on the piano bench with an audiance. As much as I enjoy these gatherings, I'm the queen of performance anxiety!!

Our MA group got a jump start with the M&H factory tours taking place locally. From the first PW tour of the M&H factory (2004), a group of MA pianoholics was formed. thumb

Thanks to you both for adding your names to the FL list. May it grow and spread the joy of new musical friendships in your lives. 2hearts

Moved from DC to FL two months ago...

Of course, Pensacola is a long way from much of the rest of Florida.

I'm in Atlanta, and I would consider a trip to the coast. Let me know.

Also, I believe that LisztAddict lives somewhere in FL. I'd pay to hear him in person!
