It's been nearly a year and a half since the last one. Any interest out there?

plays,

We'll have to take turns bumping this one until we get some more takers. The way I see it is that we need to have at least three to call it a party.

There are quite a few people in this area, so getting others to attend shouldn't be too big a problem. Just don't decide to have one in May! (all my weekends are booked)

I'm thinking ahead to this summer. May won't work very well for me either, since I'll be in the process of moving into the metro area, and I suspect April is too soon to plan anything.

I would love to go, but if it is after June 10, I wont be able too frown IT will be a 4 hour drive for me... but I would love to. Keep me posted.

We're supposed to visit the Maryland area sometime this summer. If the visit coincides with the party date count me in. Gosh, I would be so good to finally meet some of my favorite people.

I'd vote for June 18-19 - I have a meeting in DC several times a year, and in June it is June 20. I could be persuaded to travel a day or two early for an event. Would love a chance to meet other PW folks.

Looks like we have a good chance of exceeding three.

Hi, Ed:

I was at the last party and would enjoy seeing you again! A Saturday or Sunday would work best for me.

Cathy Harl and Steve Cohen might also want to attend - and perhaps Bernard would make the trek down from NY again.

Please keep me informed of any plans for this get-together.

Thanks . . . Linda in PA (without her "Pa" this time frown )

Keep me posted. If I'm available, I'd love to go and listen to everyone else play, and I promise that no one will have to be subjected to hearing me play.

Linda,

Hope you can join us again. Steve has responded in the other thread; haven't seen anything from Cathy, yet, or Bernard.

markb,

I think we would all appreciate hearing you play, as well. Hope you can come.

Thanks, ed. That gives me a few months to try to learn a song.

Ed,

Count me in. I would enjoy meeting other forum members and hearing them play. Weekends work best for me anytime before mid-June. Ed, thanks for offering to host.

Now, Ed, you know I'll be there. Planning on swinging by this weekend if you're around. I haven't done much with Stolen Moments, but maybe you could give me a few pointers on the Copland. I just started that and my lesson is Tuesday, lol. Number 1 is harder than it looks. Lots of time changes...like every other measure...

There are three threads about this party running concurrently, one each in the Piano Forum, the Adult Beginner's Forum, and the Tours, Parties, etc. Forum. Anyone interested in the party should check all three periodically.

Lots of folks are interested and we should start narrowing down dates so people can start making plans. June is good for several reasons. It's far enough out for folks to plan especially if any travel will be involved, the weather is usually good, school is out, May is a bad month for plays88skeys...

But if its later than mid-June or so, JPM and neciebuggs won't be able to attend since they are each moving to far away places (far away from Wash. DC that is).

So I suggest either the first or second weekend in June. That means June 4/5 or 11/12.

Location TBD.

What say all?

I'd be interested in checking it out as well.
Early June would be a good time for me!
