Ok,
I'm booked into the Skaket too.

Somehow I'm thinking this isn't a place where we will be having any "wild parties" Sat. night :-)

Lilylady... such a very generous offer!! I'm heading out to do some grocery shopping today so I can accumulate extra grocery bags!! laugh

Make sure you have Ed Bonacci provide you with a tour of his greenhouse!

I am preparing a few lasagnas; and blueberry muffins for Sunday morning.

I'll bring some extra wine/cheese/crackers for anyone wanting to continue the party at the Skaket. I might be exhausted by the evening but I'll most certainly be on an adrenaline high.

I will be happy to show any Orchid lovers my 2 story greenhouse; and any woodworkers who are planning to attend ask to see my shop.

I tried to Mapquest directions, couldn't get it to find either street. Hmmnn, you sure you gave me the right address? :-)

I did figure out, it's a long way from anywhere.

Hi Frank,

Which places are you trying to mapquest? The Skaket Motel or the hosts homes?

I've been saving my last tomatos etc to make a nice bowl of salsa to bring. Heaven knows I have all the herbs to add...and hot peppers! I'll make it up Thurs so everything will meld together. Yumm! I'll bring one big bag of tacos- maybe someone can bring a back up bag?

Still haven't heard if the food is spread to all 4 places or if we eat at one place Sat, and then of course the brunch on Sun.

Oh, also bringing some great summer phlox plants (pink, white, lav, etc) to share. Guess Thurs is going to be a busy day for LL! Leaving Fri morning to do some CC touring.

Hey KK, glad to hear that you are coming!

Man...just wait until the Skaket lodge has us boarding! I told Kenny we need his 9' Bluthner.

;-) LL

Here are a few food items that we Cape Codders are making for the Sat. party. I am bringing a couple pounds of shrimp cocktail. Helga Williams (hostess) is making a peach punch and deviled eggs. Marilyn Harrison (hostess) is doing either a soup or chili. There are 5-6 other couples that we know of from the Cape who will be coming and bringing food.

I will continue to update as I learn more info. If anyone knows for sure what they are bringing please post it. This will help the host families to plan.

Hosts.
I can get to the town, just not the street.
Maybe I should just get close, and roll down my windows to listen for the piano music cool

Hi Lily Lady,
On Sat. there will be food at all 3 of the host houses. We will initially drop off food at Roberta and Ed's house and then a bunch of us will distribute it to the other houses.

Jerry and I are hosting the brunch Sun. from 10-1 in North Eastham which is about 10 minutes away from your motel. We are all set with the food and drink for that event.

Frank...
You probably can't see the streets through the pipe smoke. To get to Skaket Motel get off at exit 12, right on 6A immediate (almost) right in to Skaket driveway. Follow the black and white balloons if all else fails.

I've setup my reservation at the Skaket too. I'm coming down with Terry Tunes.

I'm bringing along some sweats for the parties - cookies and cakes.

I'm excited, I can't wait to party!

Anybody want a room-mate? My reservation with the Skaket Motel has been rejected. They're all booked up!

I spoke with Barbara down there, and she couldn't imagine what's goind on through the weekend! I told her it's a Piano World gathering, and she laughed. Sadly they don't have a piano though because we could've given them a time of their life!

I just happen to have one I could bring :-)
I wonder if they'd let us take over their lobby?

Hi John,

Please come!

You can always tell them that the 'other guests' might not like all the 'noise' we might be making! ;-) Then they might have an open room.

Frank...
BRING IT! There's always the lobby. And if not, there is always YOUR room!!!!

As long as YOU will entertain us!!! ;-)

This sounds like just too much fun ... and I'm just reading it... makes me wish I was an East coaster...is that right?? Hope you all have some serious fun ... although my "chops" aren't as seasoned as MOST of yours...wish I/we (wife and I) could take part...have fun!! *goes back to family room envious of everyone...

I would have brought my 1919 M&H A too...bummer. I just know it would have fit in the back of my convert.

I'll be there even if I have to sleep on the rug. smile

I wonder if we're the guests that have taken over the motel.

Frank - Bring the piano. That's a great idea. The motel doesn't know what they're missing without a piano in the lobby. laugh

Hi, Terry:

I'm also thinking of bringing a cheese and cracker tray. That wouldn't be too much of the same thing, would it? You say you're bringing cheese and crackers for the Skaket - my tray would be for the "main event", so I'm thinking that'd be OK. But let me know. If we're duplicating things, I can bring something else.

Yippee! My plans are all set, I'm leaving NYC tomorrow at 1 pm and will spend the evening at BeeLady's who has so kindly offered to put me up for the night.

See you all Saturday. smile
