OK. Directions should have gone out to all. Thanks Bee and Terry for the offerings. They sound great. I just ordered two tickets online, as it looks like my lovely spouse can join us. With a little luck, we'll get her to play, too.

Despite repeated overtures to Indrek about coming over to practice his E flat scales (the 5th Concerto is in, ahem..E flat), I don't believe he is going to make it.

More piano time for the rest of us wink

I have been pm'd by other folks. Seems three more people are attending the concert, 1 is coming to the party (riding with us! smile )

The other two are hoping to stop by but travel is uncertain. They will be at the concert, however.

Chris et al, The chardonnay might be a little late; I probably won't be there until about 6. Something came up today that will delay me a little. Sorry about that. I'll be there though, bottle in hand.

Hmmm, yes. Something to be left to everyone's discretion. Fortunately, this morning's Boston forcast has the snow accumulating a bit latter than yestarday's "...moderate to heavy after midnight". Does anyone want to guess how late the concert will go?

Ax, good idea on the CD's. We may be a little space challenged in the "Piano Room" and I had no play list for the outside.

I regret to inform you that due to the forecast Babson has placed a 9pm parking ban on their parking facilities this Saturday night.

SO THE CONCERT IS CANCELLED for this weekend and will take place next weekend. Saturday, Feb 18 at Babson and Sun, Feb 19 in Newton.

I will post details as soon as possible.

Also...Chris, Indrek Laul and I would like to attend the pre-show get together at your place if we are welcome. Please let me know.

Well, that is bad and good, er GREAT, news.

I needed to check up to be sure, but we are set to welcome everybody next Saturday night, then!

I will confirm a time when we know the concert schedule, but expect it to be the same.

John, I will follow this up with an email to you.

John and Chris - I just spoke to Andrea (?) the director at New Phil and she said that Babson is reconsidering their decision on the parking ban. So as of now, the concert is still on for tomorrow night (Saturday). They may not decide for sure until after the rehearsal tomorrow morning. They are also not sure how they will inform people if there's a change.

I have spoken to the director of the New Phil Orchestra. As of about an hour ago, there were no definite decisions made. The forecast is changing and it seems best to wait until we have more information.

For the time being, please sit tight for a few hours while the details are being worked out.

As soon as I get the official word from the orchestra, I will post here.

Thanks

Ok, the official word is here. Both concerts for this weekend have been postponed to next week. The only change is that the Sunday performance time will be at 4pm.

Now, if you are unable to make Sat's (Feb 18) performance, New Phil will allow you to swap tickets for Sunday (Feb 19). To do this, please email them at info@NewPhil.org in order to be certain there is space etc. Please do not call, as they have their hands full as it is.

If you are unable to make it next week, please let me know. As there is no refund policy, it is my hope to match up orphan tickets with members who may now be able to attend (Kathyk, Roberta, Bernard?)with this new date.

That being said, if you now are able and desire to join us, please pm me and I will try to hook you up with someone who has extra tickets. I will do my best to find good homes for unused tickets. smile

I think that covers it. Any questions, pm me.

Chris, I do hope that we can transfer all the party plans as well? Would it be ok if Indrek comes? laugh

I just had WCRB on my car radio as I was returning from work. They announced the postponement to next week. I have my ticket and I'm still on board for party and concert next Saturday. See you all then. Hope all can make it.

I am OK with either day, just let me know what day the group is thinking of.

Kerri, thanks for the email.

Was watching for updates, wondering what was going to happen! With the Noreaster coming in.

My husband, Lloyd, has a bad cold, so we might not have made it even if it's sunny and 80 degrees tomorrow. I'm glad it's been postponed.

We should be all set for next Saturday, then. See everybody then!

P.S. Mr. Laul is coming to our pre-concert get together at Chris W1's place? Maybe he'll bring the 9 foot Estonia with him? smile
