Yeah, Kenny! JetBlue flies both ways, you know.

there's no jet blue from montana. but maybe one of the airlines that does fly from here would start a subscription service? you know, buy ten flights to a nyc piano club party, get the 11th free? laugh

i still haven't posted my photos from grotriman's party, and y'all have already had ANOTHER one!

it is an extraordinary group of people, one i wish i could be a part of on a regular basis. seeing these pictures, reading the accounts, and reminiscing about the last one in april are enough to get me thinking i have to make more trips to new york and time them appropriately!

I'm ready to post my pics. Can anybody direct me to an instruction link to do this? (I don't have web space and would need to upload to the forum, small images 640x480).

Thanks!

G - use this page: http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/fileuploader2.html

I have the same camera as you and I shrunk mine to 30% of original length and width using MS paint, and they came out fine (size-wise, anyway).

Here CJQ plays Ravel's Concerto for Left Hand.

Really.

We in the audience hummed the orchestra part.

Here is a representative detail of the high standard of craftsmanship on the Bosie. Look at how they finish their bass strings!

Here is a picture of the inside of the Bosie. Notice how white those bridges and soundboard are! Whiter than a Westchester Country Club....

Why do you think those holes are there in the bass bridge? I think they are reducing mass to increase vibration in the soundboard. Does it decouple low frequencies though?

Here is a picture of my Grotrian for comparison. Notice the use of laminated wood at the base of the bridge. Wood on the soundboard appears much darker.

Hi,

I believe the bridges are partially hollowed to allow for flexibility.

Playing piano at age 2, it was thought that I was some sort of idiot-savant. As it turns out, I'm just an idiot.

Holy crap! These pictures are amazing. I am so upset that I haven't logged onto this forum in like 2 months. What have I missed?!?!? So sad. Crying. Really. Anyway, I better not miss the next party. People! If I don't sign on, someone pvt. me with specifics because that at least gets to my email! I am so glad everyone had a great time. I am beyond amazed at this apartment, though. Where in NYC does this exist? I thought my apartment was big -- but jeez! -- no where near in comparison. I need your realtor!

Oh well. Next time. Keep me posted!

Hi Jon and Rachel
Sorry I am a little late in adding my compliments and I am glad someone informed you I did get to play your beautiful Bosie. I can always play that Beethoven again at the next party, where ever it is. Just waiting to find out who is next. What a wonderful experience these parties are. Thank you so much for having us. You have a gorgeous apt.

Though the piano is good, I can't help notice the size of the room. Too huge smile
