Roasted buttered almond. In our area it's available only from the local ice cream stand and they're closed from September to April, which is probably just as well.

I have an aversion to Starbucks.  But I will mention my other favorite ice cream: Green Tea.

You have a point there. But with computers, the choice is rather limited. Anyway, if I can patronize a small family-run coffee roastery I can be sure the coffee won't leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

Perhaps in the 820 mile trek from Seattle to San Francisco, the coffee has lost something of its mystical powers. As for the Redmond steamroller, well Cupertino just isn't far enough...
