I just learned about something that will get me off the hook with certain nieces and nephews who want an Ipod and nothing but an Ipod for a gift. 'Cause I'm not buying an Ipod. Their parents can buy them an Ipod.

It's Nike ID

You pick a Nike product, choose your colors and other features you'd like, personalize it, and then Nike sends it to you. Or you give the Sullen Teen a gift card, and they can design their own.

I was playing around with the features, and I was able to design a nice large messenger bag for $70. They also had watches and shoes and things.

Anyone else know any good places for gifts for Difficult Gift Recipients?

Give them gift certificates from Apple for music dowloads into IPods.

When they say, "But Buntie Ciny, I don't have an IPod!"
(Make sure the parents are with earshot)
Say:
"What?
YOU'RE KIDDING!
YOU DON'T HAVE AN IPOD YET?"

Amazon gift certificates are some of the best, I think. Rarely is there something that a teenager--like myself--would want that can't be found on amazon.com

Talking about Ipods.....I'd love one too but....am I right in thinking I cannot use it with a PC running on Windows 98?

In NYC with sin taxes so high, a carton of cigarettes makes a very nice gift for the teens who no longer play with Barbie and GI Joe.

amazon gift certificates seem a good bet for just about anyone. Tristan und Isolde on DVD and a 15 amp mitersaw from the same site? Sounds like my kinda store.

Yeah, right. Maybe you could throw in a free package of condoms and a bottle of booze to go with it.
