I'm the number of sides on a icosahedron.
I am also twice the sum of the individual digits in the eigth prime number.
And yet be I also the scalar product of (2, 4) and (4, 3).
Also, I am one minus the sum of the first six natural numbers.
Then I am a "perfect fifth", when it comes to fractions.
Also I am:
| 5 0 |
| 0 4 |

It was a guess laugh . There are no people that come here to do math so that they can figure out the ages of strangers. (or at least not very many).

Who needs to count? If you're a fan of PDQ Bach ("without a doubt Johann Sebastians last and least offspring" - e.g., Peter Shickele), then you know that "PDQ Bach's dance music suggested that he had one leg shorter than the other." wink

Clue: I'm currently in a "still considered young" column, moving next yr. to the age referred to as "the big one". frown

I just realized according to Pianojerome's chart, the 30 and above group is the minority around here. Maybe hanging out with the teens and 20's will help the 30 and above group feel younger. Maybe we need to recruit more in the 30+ category to balance things out.

78 last month.
Still on a learning curve having started playing at age circa 7. Jazz and no lessons ever. I play by ear and have some natural inner help that I cannot explain. Just love the acoustic piano. Still working in my workshop for a living (engineering) as pensions are a mess in our country.

Thanks pianojerome for taking the time to post the list of all the players.

My math is a lost cause and my teacher just tells me how to count the music - fractions just drive me nuts. So all the equasions posted here might as well be written in sanskrit.

Hope one and all enjoys Easter and or Passover. smile

Jazpianizt I like the way you look at things. I'm 65 (going on 20)- gotta be a kid a heart.

I think those of us who are in the 30 and above group should sing:

Younger than springtime am I
Younger than springtime are you....

Don't know the rest of the lyrics, but these two lines says it all. smile

I vowed never to get any older than 60. At age 60 I started counting down. I'm down to age 49 now.

Okay only a year but it feels bad because now I am thinking of myself as Almost 25, not 24 and a half frown

Anyone else have that problem

Mind you depending on the time of day and location I feel anywhere between 12 and 60

My Mom used to say "Age before beauty." I think she was saying "Be polite to your elders." I'm not really sure. Maybe she was saying "Age and wisdom counts for something, beauty is elusive, temporary, and too big of a pursuit." She's no longer alive, so I can't ask her.

As far as my age, 36, would be very dyslexic of me.

"Age?" question, coming around again!

I've been 39 for 25 years and four of my children are 40 or older, with the youngest, being 38 this past birthday which makes almost all of them older than me. It's time for me to come up with a new "story", let's see, it has to be "Ive been 25 for 39 years" so I can say my children are my siblings and I'm the youngest one.

Of course, this is my private little joke, I don't try to pass it onto other people! My 38 year old daughter was "carded" last week while out with her husband - now she looks very young.
It was at age 39 I started all this juggling with my age.

It you have a pencil to do the math with, on my birthday I achieved age 64! I'm finally telling the truth! Who is that in the mirror?

In a little over a month, my age will be equal in years to the value of the 4th primeth prime number. That is, if you were to arrange the prime numbers, and were to take the prime numbers which were in a prime position of the series, it would be the 4th.

Almost 17.

Lizzy's dad is 54. Lizzy is still a teenager.

You know you're getting older when the days you feel younger get farther and fewer between.

At times I feel myself teetering on the brink, but Hey, I'm not there yet! smile

I've been 25 for 39 years, or, 39 for 25 years, however you wish to do the math. I can't believe it I think I'm a young chick! My spirit is anyway!

I ran LisztAddict's original expression (changing a few x's to *) through a calculator and got:

-515.4484936831875

To add to the confusion, I ran his latest expression and got:

0.41205053449951406

As for me, I turned 40 in September.
