Okay, so what's on that shelf over there. You know, the one with all the music books on it.

Here is what is on mine, categorized. I've excluded grade books, just books and sheets. Is there such a thing as a music book hound? I know I haven't bought anything in a really long time and that's probably a good thing. I've got more here than my fingers and brain can possibly do and stuff that is just so far beyond me.

Things I actually work on
Beethoven: Sonatas ABRSM Volume 1
Chopin: Mazurkas, Complete
Chopin: Opus 28 Preludes
Guaraldi: Charlie Brown Christmas
Jarre: Oxygene, Equinoxe
Satie: Piano, Cramer Volume 1
Satie: Quatre Preludes
Schumann: Opus 15 Scenes from Childhood
Celebri Composizioni Per Piano-Forte

Things I might work on given some motivation and time
Bach: Inventionen und Sinfonien
Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier
Beethoven: Sonatas ABRSM Volume 2
Chopin: Nocturnes, complete
Levine: The Jazz Piano Book
Moussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition
Schumann: Piano Music Series I
Turina: Danse Gitanes, Sacro-monte
The Real Jazz Book
The Real Blues Book
Satie: Piano, Cramer Volume 2

Things I don't even know why i have
Bartok: For Children
Haydn: Sonaten II
Rachmaninoff: Opus 32 13 Preludes
Rachmaninoff: Opus 23 10 Preludes
Saint-Saens: Danse Macabre
Shostakovich: Twenty Four Preludes
Tshaikowsky: Opus 39 Album for the Young

I have piano for dummies and a book on u2.

Ok This is a good thread.

Books I use daily
Piano classics- the brownish one
Piano Classics 2
Bach 8 little preludes- yes its an organ book
A massive jumbo 3 ring binder of assorted organ music from various composers, that I made, Each page is in a plastic jacket style cover, so page turns are easy, and pages stay clean.

Sheet music-
Schindlers List
Beethovens moonlight sonata 1&3
Lots of other random ones
Led Zep Stairway to heaven

Modern books-
John Cash big book
Evanescence book
Classic Rock hits

Those are just a few of the 100s of books/sheet music that I have.

OK, here goes...

Idiot's Guide To Playing Piano
Quick Keyboard Picture Chords

A pile of old method books that belonged to a friend in high school

A pile of stuff that belonged to my grandma, Czerny studies and other exercizes published in the 40s, a couple Easy Listening/ all Time greatest hits books

Piano Tuning, Servicing and Rebuilding by Arther Reblitz and a pile of old Piano Technician Journals

Charlie Brown's Greatest Hits
Billy Joel Complete vol. 2&3
The Billy Joel Keyboard Book
The Beatles Keyboard Book
The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour/Abbey Road/Let It Be
U2 The Piano Collection
Elton John To Be Continued...
The Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin

P/V/G songbooks for a bunch of my favorite albums. This is where my weakness lies, I keep buying and buying at a rate my learning will never catch up to.

Madman Across the Water
Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy
Jump Up
Breakng Hearts
Made In England
The Captain and the Kid

Ben Folds Five and Selections From Naked Baby Photos
Whatever and Ever Amen
The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner
Rockin' The Suburbs
Songs For Silverman

Also have the sheets for:
Blueberry Hill
My Immortal~Evanescence

I also have a small stash of downloaded and photocopied stuff, some of it is classical, some of it is chord sheets for songs I haven't found the songbooks for yet. My biggest pile of stuff though is the songbooks. Even as I type I'm thinking of the next one on my wishlist...I'll probably have to join some whatever many step anonymous support group...

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

I haven't tried "Fool On The Hill" yet, I just got both of the Beatles books within the last 6 weeks or so. I've done "Martha My Dear" and I'm working on "Two Of Us" right now. smile

Piano Solos for all Occasions

Individual Books:
The Beatles Complete
Ray Charles
Cashman and West
Eric Clapton
Patsy Cline
Best of Berry Gordy
Billy Joel
Jim Croce
Geo Harrison All thing must pass
Gershwin
Guess Who
Lady Sings the Blues
Elton John To be Continued
Janis Joplin
BB King
Lynard Skynard
Bob Marley
Marshall Tucker Band
Moody Blues
Aaron Neville
Otis Redding
