Greetings all!

Just thought I'd share this with you. A friend of mine has scheduled a Piano Dedication Recital for this Sunday afternoon, and he got Martha Umstead to perform for that. I have met her, and she's nice, a very good conversationalist, what I didn't know was that she's had a long career of teaching and performing in NYC.

Apparently, she will be performing the program she will be presenting this Sunday up in NYC in a few months' time.

Just in case you're interested, here it is:

* J. S. Bach: Organ Prelude in g (arr. Siloti)
* Chopin: Preludes Op. 28, No. 11, 10, 3; Ballade in Ab Op. 47
* Debussy: Petite Suite (Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum; The Snow is Dancing; Golliwogg's Cakewalk)
* Albéniz: Malagueña (Cadiz)

Looks to be a good program. If interested, I can try to write up a review after the recital on Sunday.

For those in the Triangle area, if you're interested, the recital will take place this Sunday at 3.00pm. It will be at Grace Lutheran Church, 824 N. Buchanan Blvd in the Trinity Park Neighbourhood, near to Duke University's East Campus. It's located at the corner of Green and N. Buchanan.
