How we found out about the Calx project (Piano World is now listed as a sponsor)...

The Calx Project - 60 hours for children.

Dear piano World team

Thanks for your great site! I really appreciate how you've been able to create such a great forum for professionals and amateurs! And in such a easy to use way!

I'm writing from Rome, Italy which is the location that is going to host the international web event known as ZILLION's CALX PROJECT. This event c- organized by amsterdam based Zillion Productions - consists of setting a new world record by playing 60 hours in a row. The 24 year old composer Christian Calcatelli will be playing at all times w hile the whole concert will be broadcasted live over the web and funds will be raised in behalf of humanitarian agency PLAN INTERNATONAL for soutch american children.

We currently enjoy the participation of many sponsors such as ACER, CANON, FUJI, SFElectronics and many others who have made the creation possible. The Location in Rome - GaLLERIA aLBERTO sORDI - is one of the most renown in the whole city, acclaimed for its splendour and central location.

The event seeks to sensitize attitudes towards childrens problems and as said earlier, raise funds in a variety of interesting ways. Since your site is a gold mine for all piano users, we have reason to believe that it would be itneresting both for your regsitered users to know about the event and also for our external audience to be directed to your site. As the whole event has been organized with a 0 budget layout, we cannot pay for advertisement on your website. We would however be glad to offer your link and logo to appear under the Special Links of our websites on which the event will be broadcasted during the days of the event in exchange for presence in your site.

To get the feel of what this project is all about and to view its location, please watch this brief trailer:
http://www.calcatelli.com/TCP/

We hope you will consider lending a helping hand in the success of The Calx Project - 60 hours for children.

sincerely,

Christian Calcatelli

Frank,

That's beautiful. Thank you. May wonders never cease to exist! smile Bless these people. It is so difficult to raise awareness (and money!).

(I hope he doesn't hurt himself, that's a long time to play!)
