The New Phil is Growing!

To perform Mahler's glorious Symphony No. 2,
the New Phil will be joined by soloists
Jayne West, soprano and Marion Dry, mezzo-soprano.

The New Phil will also be joined by two local community choruses -
Newton Choral Society, conducted by David Carrier
and Heritage Chorale, conducted by John Finney.


Everything Changes - A New Phil Commission

Continuing our Innovations theme season, the New Phil is pleased to present the world premiere of Everything Changes, by Newton resident and New Phil oboist Erika Foin! Ms. Foin's piece was inspired by the poem "Everything Changes" by Cicely Herbert.

Ms. Foin has won several awards including first place in the International Alliance of Women in Music and several ASCAP grants. From 2003-2005 she was the director of Just In Time Composers, a composers collective in the Boston area.
