Right now, some 2001 Newton Claret left over from last night. It's a really pleasant wine, medium-bodied, not heavy on either acids nor tannins. A great accompaniment for a wide variety of foods. This Napa valley blend is made mostly from Merlot, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Sells for about $20 per bottle.

I'm drinking a Domaine Romanee-Conti Burgogne, which I just spilled into the pinblock of my Fazioli. Bummer....
Just kidding...I'm actually drinking a Coppola Merlot that some friends gave my wife and I for a wedding present. Not bad...
I'm new here in the coffee room, so pardon me if I'm intruding. Happy quaffing!

Rancho Zabaco is good stuff and reasonably priced. Pasa Robles? Peachy Canyon does some nice zin's.
The ringer for me lately is Aisling Syrah '02 by Garretson Vinyards in Pasa Robles. 17%, incredibly full and about $25.
