"I like to sleep until the crack of noon
midnight howlin' at the moon
goin' out when I wanto, comin' home when I please
I don't have to ask permission
if I want to go out fishing
and I never have to ask for the keys.."

Lovely album ain't it....."the grapefruit moon and one star shining is more than I can hiiiiiiiiiide..."
anecdote about Hans.. I had been working in Greece, and while there, occasionally dated a young German - Tomas (with an accent on the 2nd syllable. A yr. after I came back to the states (I was living in San Diego) Hans, (my old boss from Chicago) called me and asked me if I'd like to Cruise around the Riviera and Corsica, he was selling his dead brother's yacht and wanted to take it out one more time.... I met him in Paris, and we traveled to Marsseilles to meet the rest of the cruisers. I think Hans expected me to sleep with him... which was the farthest thing from my mind, especially when I met his nephew, the young Tomas I had dated in Greece. (I never figured out the 2 Germans were related before) I wouldn't have anyway, and Hans knew that, but insisted we part ways. He gave me 1000 dollars and said "A smart girl could get back to the States easily with this" (in his harsh German accent). So I went to a casino and made about 3500 and stayed in Europe a couple months by myself...

Those wonderful wild days when the world was very small.

Hans (and Tomas) were both the gentle-bred landed gentry, and both appreciated me for my hips, which was very nice when the current rage was skinny legs. smile

I don't really have an all-time favourite... If I had to choose right this instant I'd pick this one :

Zornik is a Belgian rockband. I have this CD for a few weeks now and I have listened to nothing else ever since.

Though I would not be able to leave these ones behind :

David Bromberg "How late'll you play to"
or maybe "The Wurst of PDQ Bach"

Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as heck...
