I negotiated the price of a new polished ebony Yamaha T121 to $4995 plus $150 for delivery (tax not included). This seems like a fair price to me, given that the Larry Fine book has it at $6500 and this would be over 20% off. Just wanted to check here if it seems fair to you all.

Any thoughts, comments, or feedback? Thanks...

My local dealer is quoting $6795. I think you have done well.

Settled on a Yamaha and not the Kawai or Perzina, eh? Congratulations.

The price you negotiated seems more than fair. I think Fine is low on his Yamaha prices, but obviously the piano dealer wouldn't let the piano go at that price if he were losing money on the deal. I don't think there are many people getting that piano for less than what you paid...
