I've been reading and enoying the posts here for the past couple of weeks as I have begun my hunt for a new piano. I started out looking for an upright and have already graduated to a grand.

There aren't a lot of choices in pianos here in Vegas -- and my choice at the moment is the Petrof IV.

I recently found a used one for sale (in a neighboring state ) -- a 2002 listed in "A" condition (they give their used pianos a grade between A and F -- many listed in the B+ and C- category on their list)for $13,000. Is this a good deal?

I've ordered my Larry Fine book but it hasn't arrived yet and I'm headed on vacation next weekend and will have a chance to stop and see the piano on the way.

I appreciate your help (in advance)

Sounds like a decent price if you like the piano and it checks out okay. New lists for neark-ly $24k and could probably be gotten for between $18k-$20k depending on your local market. I have played a Petrof IV and it is quite a nice instrument. It seemed mellow and musical throughout the scale to my ears.
