JB, I was wondering the same thing. SURELY no one thinks he was there the entire 12 hours!

According to the detailled agenda the speech was probably between 6.30 pm and 8 pm.

You know, sometimes when I post something that happened "yesterday", I actually mean is "the other day", and vice versa. Just a thought.

Yes jodi,
I have checked this possibility too:
Bredesen was on a Thanksgiving Break before Dec 03.

Edit: Larry has stated in his post clearly "Tonight" (please look at my quote)

I stated in the other thread that I was quitting the forums. I am. But I couldn't break my habit "cold turkey" so I decided to read, and found this. Let me clear this little issue up for those bound and determined to call me a liar. The man was introduced to me as Governor Sundquist. I don't follow state politics, so I just assumed when everyone went around calling him Governor, he was still in office. He called himself Governor. Maybe Governors don't use the term "ex".

So my Mother and the 4 others who received awards that night weren't important enough for the current governor to show up. So I assumed that someone being called Governor was still the Governor. Shoot me. Look up Congressman John Duncan Jr.'s schedule, if that will make you happy. There's only one of him, and he's currently in office.

To those of you I number among my friends, thank you for your friendship. I'll see you on Sunday nights. But when it gets to the point you can't even apologize to people without the kind of pure evil that I have seen displayed by a few people here, that's when I opt out.

Titles are kept.

No ex-President Clinton. Simply President Clinton.
No ex-Senator, simply Senator.
No ex-Judge, simply Judge.
No ex-General, simply General.
No ex-Ambassador, simply Ambassador.
No ex-Governor, simply Governor.

Governor Sundquist.

Larry,

A lot of people appreciate what you tried to do.

I do hope you reconsider - but understand if you don't.

God bless - hope to meet you in the real world sometime.

Larry, I owe you a glass of Sweet Tea (pronounced swayt tay, I believe) and more. I hope I can meet you in person one day.

It was the Governor of the State of Tennessee...
He used the definite article 'the'. To refer to an ex-Governor, 'a' is more appropriate. His post was a fallacy, unintentional or not.

I laughed while reading this thread. I enjoy watching Larry masquerade his mean nature with penitence, then have his cover spectacularly blown by a clever remark.

Hey, I'm mean but at least I don't set up a fake hospitality.

Don't be so quick to get out your handkerchiefs (or balloons and confetti, depending on which side of the fence you reside); Larry's not going anywhere.

Back already? I'd thought he'd suck on his thumb for a bit longer to give the illusion that kathyk wasn't right in predicting his behaviour.

Larry,

I can hear the sound of kathyk celebrating. It is an ugly sound. I may just follow you.

Look, Kathy! At least you've got the token terrorist lover on your side!

Is this your idea of leaving, Larry? Posting as some pooping baby? I much prefer the old avatar.

Oh, Kathy is full of conspiracy theories. Just because she thinks I'm Larry doesn't mean I am.
