cigarettes are legal, they are 100x worse for you than pot

alcohol is 100x worse for you than pot

just put laws on pot like any other legal drug, an age limit, ban it from public use ect. think of the billions the government would save which could be used on something else, like stoping illegal mexicans ect

No apple, the government wastes billions each and every year on the war on drugs. A war that cannot be won.

Legalize all drugs and those who choose to do them do so at their own peril.

Prohibition doesn't work. Didn't we already learn this lesson with a constitutional fiasco?

There is much truth here, especially if one considers the transfers from the Federal government to states, counties and municipalities.

Also consider the amount of money the medical-industrial complex makes off of it.

There is a reason the Feds fight every state action to legalize pot, even for medicinal reasons. It ain't because they are trying to protect the citizens.

I'm all for legalization believe it or not.. I was referring to revenue generated by seizures... We tax the sale of drugs.. that way the government can keep property in exchange for taxes owed..

the government spends 20 thousand a year just a keep a pot user in jail, so i dont see how they could make money of seizures since most of what they find is a few ounces

just think how much they could make from tax off of pot

"like stoping illegal mexicans ect"

border patrol is big problem, just giving an example of something better the gov could spend money on

Your stats of 100x worse are wrong. I think the usage of marijuana is bad for the individual and society as a whole. That having been said, I think we should change our criminalization policy. Marijuana users should not be jailed, period. We're letting real criminals go free while jailing pot users? Stupid!

America's lack of discipline amongst its police force allows this kind of criminal activity to foster.

I agree. Our police need to be disciplined more. heck, the cops in Gary, IN sell the drugs they steal off of the dealers. Some cops in Chicago would sell from their squadrol. Others would just take bribes.

(Not that I'd know anything about any of this firsthand). shocked

If drugs were legalized and their distribution regulated, this would not happen because there would be no black market street price.

Nor would we have well financed gangs.

Nor would we have over 50% of the prisoners in Federal and State prisons incarcerated and we would not be spending the money on them.

No. Doing so will only change criminal scums of society to plain scums of society. Criminals should be forced to undergo an aggressive and brutal reeducation program to completely reconfigure their behavior before they are released. The current incarceration regime does nothing.

So should America hating, military hating, halfwit trolls who pretend to be Canadian muslims..

Oh Larry. Are you stalking me?

I wish you'd stick to posting fabricated award ceremony stories, plagiarized works, or genocidal hate speeches. They are more interesting than your simple one-line quips.
