I've been saying I was going to do this for a while now and never got around to it. I bought a mini-camcorder about a week ago and decided to try it out. There are lyrics to the blues tune but I didn't want to go that far . "Play it like you want to" Rickster

Hey Rickster, Great job, well done, neat song, good sounding Tokai grand. What brand and model camcorder did you use? How about posting more of your playing.. Warm regards, Bear

Thanks for the kind words, Dave and Bear 1, I’m still waiting for Norbert’s picture and video of him playing the boogie woogie. I figured I’d give him a little incentive so he could show me up real good . Bear 1, the camcorder is a JVC 770US mini-DVD camcorder. I had to go through a quick learning curve on downloading the video from the camcorder to my PC. I had to buy a firewire 1394 PCI card to install in my PC so I could download the video from the cam to the PC. Then it was pretty easy to use the MS Moviemaker software program from there. I’ve got a bunch of tunes and pieces I can play to some extent and I’ll upload some more later. I know this is the piano forum and not the beginner’s forum, but I’m having a ball learning to play the piano. My hope is that one day I can actually play the piano a little . Best regards, Rickster

Thanks for posting. You are far from a beginner. I always enjoy seeing the person behind the screen name. Now if we can only get Norbert to post his pic.

Thanks for all the nice comments regarding my piano playing. Angelojf: Is that a dentist chair in the background? Hi Ang; no, that is not a dentist chair in the background; that is my wife's power wheel chair. She is disabled and confined to a wheel chair. The room where the piano is used to be my car port. I enclosed it just so I'd have room for a grand piano. The garage enclosure and the grand piano have all turned out nicely . Best regards, Rickster

Hey Rick, glad to know that somebody else out there DOESN'T have an accent. Your playing had shades of the "Killa"if you know who I mean.

Hi Mark, Actually, I’ve been focusing on learning to play the piano for about 2 years. However, I have played other stringed instruments most of my life. I had an old upright several years ago that I tinkered around with and learned a few cords on. The piano is near and dear to my heart as of late . Hi TLuvva. Just wait till you hear me play 'Whole lot a shaken" . And, my southern drawl is really not that thick all the time. I was just relaxed at the moment . Thanks for the comments. Rickster
