Thank you PianoWorld.

Picture #1 immediately brought tears to my eyes. What a powerful montage.

I also like #4 alot. It should be made into a poster.

And #5. This is a very sad picture but I don't think the Eagle needs to cry this much. I do not think it's in it's nature--perhaps one or two tears are enough.

------------
And now for something completely different, I have to say, for some reason, the Eagle picture (#5) reminds me of a portait of Chopin that my teacher has in her house!! It must be that long forehead!

Major League Baseball has included Photo #4 in their tribute to the victims of last week's tragedy. It is, indeed, a beautiful reminder of the resiliency of the American people.

Thank you for posting these photos.

Oops. I want to correct an error I made--thought of it last night when I got home.

I should have written about picture #1, "What a powerful collage. (I guess I was thinking of movies, it is afterall, a very moving picture.)

did anyone see the cover of this week's new yorker? it probably wouldn't show up very well in a digital format, but the entire cover was a very dark grey, nearly black, and in the middle of page is a black silhoutte of the twin towers, with the radio tower piercing the new yorker logo.

this image shocked me when i first saw it coming out of my mailbox--it suggests the shadow of where the world trade center once was, and is very effective.

the entire issue is devoted to the tragedy, with personal stories, and an amazing photo gallery of full-page images of the disaster.
