As a piano tuner I have found to be better Yamaha and Kawai, in most respects, cabnet finish an exception, better overall than some of the higher priced pinos, Germany, etc.) I speak of the new models of (Yamaha and Kawai) since 2000. The small grand Yahama wins out but the Kawai grands over 7' takes the edge. This is strictly my opinion but would like to hear what other have to say. The older Baby Grand Yahama (1980) ETC will only sound good if kept tuned as least every 6 months. If not it takes a while to restore...
