My question is very simple: I live in NYC and I want to buy the Yamaha CLP 170.
However, Yamaha regulates the prices and the dealers are not allowed to give their prices by phone.
The Market suggested price in Canada is equivalent to 3500 USD for the rosewood and dealers, and I have heard that their "real price" is 3000 USD. But in the US, the MSRP is $4500, and my local dealer does not want to go below $4000.

Does anyone know of a dealer who could sell me a CLP 170 for a reasonable price and deliver it as well?

You can buy from Canadian dealers who will ship to the U.S. - many people have done this with no problems, including delivery. Customs duties are small. Check the threads on www.cvpug.com and ask for advise there, you'll get many responses.

You might want to check with Scotti Piano & Organ in Peabody, MA (617) 532-3380. Very reasonable prices on the Yamaha CLPs.
