Happy Holidays Everyone-

I need some advice from you guys & gals. I am looking into buying myself a new digital keyboard after the holidays. Currently I own a yamaha P70. I really like the feel but the sound is kinda mehhh. I am going to give my p70 to the foster kid next door (his parents really can't afford anything besides $100 keyboards) and buy myself something a little better with my Christmas bonus. I am still very new to the piano but my neighbor is getting really good and needs something asap so I figured this would be a good opportunity to help us both. He gets a mint p70 for free and I get to upgrade. laugh
I am thinking either a Yamaha P-140 or a Kawai MP-5. It seems like the $200 more for the MP-5 gets you way more keyboard. Am I correct? Are their any others that I should look into?

Thanks in advance for the help.

How much are you wanting to spend? The Yamaha CP33 is right there with the MP5 on price too I think? Also, there is the Roland RD-300SX?

I'd like to keep it @ $1300. But if a couple hundred more will get me an even better deal I can be a little flexable.

Hmm.. in that price range, assuming you still want the portable-style piano: I'd say the P140, CP33, Kawai MP5, & the Roland RD-300SX are the best choices.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the P140 is the only one with internal speakers?
