hi!

has anyone tried this, and how does the action compare to Yamaha P-series keyboards.

Thanks,

Personally, I liked it better than the one on Yamaha P-x keyboards and on a par with the Roland RD700. I also liked the Kawai piano sounds more than any other "built-in" sounds.

Of course, this is a personal opinion. It would be interesting to know what the others think.

My Kawai ES3 has great sounds. bought it rather than the Roland FP-5. Like the feel, the sounds, and the looks better.
Tried the yamahas from the P90 up to the CLP175, they sound funny to me because the seen to use only the upper harmonics. I have a bit of a high frequency hearing loss.
Presently looking at the Roland Fantom X8, but they are supposedly coming out with a HP11 PE, may wait to see what that is like. It would look better in a living room.
