I have been following the advice of the experts at the Piano Forum and playing a lot of pianos in my search for a grand. I never even considered anything mechanical until a Yamaha dealer showed me a C3 with a disklavier. I feel like I entered a new universe (or at least new century). I especially loved the option to use headphones so that I can play while the rest of the house is sleeping. The story on the piano is that it was ordered by someone who then changed his mind about the case (it's Satin American Walnut - which is exactly what I want). The dealer is telling me that because they were left with this piano (apparantly not a popular finish)and the fact that Yamaha is upgrading its disk system, they are pricing it "aggressively" at 34K. Does this sound like a good deal? I'd appreciate some guidance- Vicky

If you do not get much of a response here, you should re-post this in the piano forum (rather than the digital piano forum.) $34,000 buys a lot of piano. My opinion is that you should continue to test the market for a period of time, I suspect this deal will not dissapear overnight. I am sure you will get some really strong opinions in the other forum, some good, others less so.

Thanks, John. I wasn't sure if this question was relevant in this forum so I posted in Piano Forum too. I'm trying hard not to be impulsive about the purchase, so I will keep looking around.
