I played piano for 10 years before going to college, and I have not played now for 3 and a half years.

I can get either of these two digital pianos, but the Roland for a little bit cheaper. I know nothing of digital pianos, but if I could get the Roland for $100 cheaper, I'm wondering what the better buy is. I appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks a lot.

I would go with RD 100 even if the price is the same as P60. RD is way better featured and has own buttons and sliders while p60 is just a barebone digital piano with only 6 buttons. Even selecting sounds on P60 needs pressing control button and corresponding keyboard key which is awkward. Sounds are comparable on both models. RD is even better sounding in piano.
