Does the Yamaha CP300 have the arpeggiator feature? I have not as yet see it in the specifications. It seems like it should. The Roland RD700SX has it.

It is not mentioned in the manual. The P250 does not have it. So the CP300 probably doesn’t either. It’s a yamaha not Roland. If you need an arpeggiator then get the Roland. It's sound is reported to be extremely good. Though some prefer the yamaha action.

Discription from s90ES manual:

"The versatile Arpeggio feature allows you to automatically play various rhythms and phrases by simply pressing a key or playing a chord. The S90 ES contains a remarkably wide variety of Arpeggios—a total of 1,787—from conventional, popular phrases to the latest cutting-edge rhythm patterns. This powerful function is an unending source of inspiration and will help you create various riffs, phrases and songs quickly and easily."

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An arpeggio is a chord sounded in succession rather than simultaneously. Arpeggios are commonly played from the lowest note to the highest, but exceptions are not uncommon. The word comes from the Italian for "in the manner of the harp."

The following instruments use arpeggios:

String instruments are used to play arpeggios in classical music.
Bass guitarists often use arpeggios to play out chords.
Guitarists use arpeggios in certain genres, such as Neo-classical extensively

arpeggio – literally, like a harp. Used to indicate that the notes of a certain chord are to be played quickly one after another (usually from lowest to highest) instead of at the same moment. In piano music this is sometimes a solution in playing a wide-ranging chord whose notes cannot be played otherwise. Music generated by the limited hardware of video game computers uses a similar technique to create a chord from one tone generator. Arpeggios (or arpeggi) are also accompaniment patterns. See also broken chord.

broken chord – a chord in which the notes are not all played at once, but in some more or less consistent sequence. They may follow singly one after the other, or two notes may be immediately followed by another two, for example.
