Hello everyone this is my first post here, im looking to buy my first keyboard, as I already have a piano in my home but its just not very practical to play when there are a great deal of people around.

Im looking for somthing simple with a good sound; I've heard that on some keyboards that it is possible to actually change the sound sets on them? Is this actually possible? Couldnt one buy said keyboard and obtain a high quality piano sound set for it?

Im hoping to keep it under $500 (canadian) as im not rich! Can anyone make a reccomendation for me, I would greatly appreciate it?

For your budget check out the Casio PX 200, I have one and it is our quiet practice keyboard to go along with an acoustic. See the recent threads on this forum by Master Z or Initial Z for example. I don't know if Music123 ships free to Canada or not but they had a recent sale. http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=249313&t=831443

Otherwise you should go and play some in a local store. If you don't like Casio then you'll need to consider used models of the big sellers - Yamaha, Roland for example.

If you want to change the sound then you need more equipment, either a sound module or computer and software which could cost more money.
