Does anyone know if the keyboard action (feel and response) is the same (i.e. identical!!!) for the RD-700SX and the HP-107?

Thanks,

Lawrence

Hi there,

I can help you out with this question.

The Progressive Hammer Action on each Piano has the same physical weight and feel with one small exception.

The HP107 has an addition called Escapement let off. Basically your mileage will vary on this but there is a slight click on the downstroke of the key that is designed to simulate the same click present on an acoustic grand. The effect is slight but it is definitely present.

Obviously the Cabinet is the main difference here (in terms of look anyways)

I absolutley LOVE the sound of the RD-700SX and it is a great live/stage keyboard.

How about the piano samples? How do they compare in these two models?

Best.

PPBC,

Thanks. Would it be accurate then, to say that the RD-700SX and the HP3 keyboard action (feel and response) is identical?

The store I deal with has the HP3 on the floor, but not the RD-700SX. I like the sound and features of the RD-700SX, but need to be sure about the keyboard response.

Thanks,

Lawrence

For me I chose the Hp 107 over ther 700sx.I wanted a metronome and quick recording functions, but the main piano sounds are I think identical, but for home use only the Hp wins hand by far.

Daz
