Hi,

I have just installed NI's Akoustik Piano. And I have connected my piano through midi cable. My problem is that when I hit a key, first I hear a midi sound then (after about 1 second) I hear the sample asounding and when I release the key I hear the midi sound again! I don't know how can it happen. I hear both midi and sample sound.
My other question is that what should I set on in Audio/Midi Setup menu? For Input I have only my sound card, and what should I set for output?

Thanks in advance,
All the best,
Freed3

Sounds like a latency problem.

Type 'latency' in SEARCH on top of this page and you will find a lot of topics about this.

Second question: i don't know, maybe one of the experts can answer this?

I love my dark rosewood Yamaha CLP-240. She's as honest with me as a loyal dog but she sounds better.

I had the same problem with my keystation 88es. I never figured out what was going wrong, but I think it has something to do with the keyboard sending aftertouch signals. (I think my keyboard has that o_O)

Anyways, in Finale 2008, I get no problems, so I use that for recording and playback. I'm soon to receive Synthogy's Ivory, though (10 DVDs), so hopefully that will work out a bit better.

The Steingraeber in the Garritan Sounds VST plugin that comes with finale isn't too bad, but I want to see what else is out there. (Finale's default piano sounds SUCK. But the plugins that come with it don't!)

Try booting up your computer fully before switching on the midi devices, I sometimes have the same problem controlling my Roland JV1010 through One Mand Band 10.0 but if I boot the pc first and let it fully boot up, then switch on my JV and my HP103 the problem doesn't occur.

Worth a try, hope it helps.

Cheers

Mart.
