I have several questions about the clp-175.

1. Is it available in the U.S. yet?

2. What is the retail price going to be. I have seen that it is 4800 euro. Does that mean it is going to be around 5500 US.

3. I know that it is going to have wooden keys, but how is the touch going to feel like. Is it going to have a spongy feel at the bottom like the 170, or is it going to have a harder feel like the older models. Or is it going to have a different feel altogether.

thank you

1) Yes
2) MSRP = approx $7,500
3) Feels like a CLP170, except with wooden keys. You can feel the same exact action on the new CVP900 if your local dealer does not have the CLP175.

If they have neither, come to LA.

There's an informed "first review" of the CLP175 on the CVP/CLP user group site:

http://www.cvpug.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=293

He compared the touch of the 170 (plastic keys, weighted hammers) with the 175 (wooden keys, more elaborate hammer mechanism) and somewhat preferred the 175, a conclusion I agree with.
