OP Lou Mallory Junior Member L Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 6 South Pasadena, California	I just recently tested the Clavinova CLP 120 and according to the published specifications it appears to be identical to the Yamaha YDP 233. However, the Clavinova is $2,000.00 and I have found the YDP 233 for $1,500.00. Is there something different about the Clavinova that I don't know about? I also tested the Technics DX-662. I like the sound better on the Technics and I find the touch to be comparable. I am able to get the Technics for $1690.00 and the amplifiers are two 40 watt speakers as opposed to the 20 watt speakers on the Clavinova and the YDP233. I have tested the Rolands and like the sound but not the touch so I have narrowed my choices down to these three. Advice please!!!

Bill S. Full Member Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 109	The YDP-223 and CLP-120 are essentially the same instument. However, the CLP-120 has a longer warranty: 5 years parts, one year labor. I don't know much about the Technics DX-662, after trying several Technics, I didn't like them. I would go back to the Clavinova dealer and try to haggle them down to $1,500.
