Couldn't find a previous reference to this subject so advice please.

The keys on my new CA71 Kawai have an unpleasant "silicone" feel which seems to be a residue from the mould release or polishing process. Is there a preferred cleaner which would remove this stuff without damaging the key lever surface?

Thanks.

That's just me but ...
I remove the finger prints and oil with a wet piece of cloth that I damp in warm water in which I added a little bit of vinegar.
It works for my digital plastic keys, for the 31 years old ivorite and ebony keys of my Yamaha grand.
I work with the wet cloth on 10 to 12 keys, then dry them up immediately with a soft dry cotton cloth. And then again for the next 10 to 12 keys ...

Thank you both for the responses. This stuff is stubborn but vinegar seems to be working.
