I have had my YDP-121 for about a year and a half... now that i am back in college and practicing daily for about 2 hours... 2 of the 3 d's in mid register are "falling" i mean... the seem to be a tad out of allignment and get stuck coming up... and sometimes when i sit down they have "fallen". the piano has NOT been abused, and i was going to upgrade to an accoustical, however we are moving across country next year... (dont want to drag a piano on that kind of move) so the digital HAS to last me another year... Is this fixible?? I noticed it started doing it after I went to NY over the 4th... I turned off the AC. Does humidity affect digital pianos???

I am at a loss... and very sad...as i have been fairly satisfied with this digital compared to my last... and i dont want another $1000 "disposable" piano.

Who would i contact to repair, or check out? Obviously not the local piano tuner.

ANY HELP would be appreciated.... I have a recital in a week and the falling 'd's are buggin me. It doesnt do it all the time... thats what is even MORE annoying.

Thank you for your help.

Denise, see the Yamaha website under Support to find local authorized repair shops, who should be able to advise you.

Specifically, see

In the Boston area there is a guy who will come to your house and fix yamaha (and other) keyboards. I used him for warranty service so I didn't have to pay anything, but I asked him what his rates were anyway in case I need him after the warranty runs out, and they seemed quite reasonable. Maybe there is someone like him in your area? Anyway, he arrived the same day I called him and fixed my yamaha keyboard nicely. Hope this story gives you some hope.
