My style of playing is typically in the style of Joey DeFranceso, a fast bebop right hand with a walking bass left hand, but with the Rhodes piano sound. When I play fast for long periods of time my tendonitis acts up.
I play an average tempo of 190 beats per minute.
I play an average of 570 notes per minute.
(190 notes in the left hand walking bass and 360 notes with the right hand during long solos)
Maybe you need to explore something more along the lines of a Basie influence? As for the 190bpm tempos...Have some compassion for your audience!!!

I cannot play them fast for prolonged periods of time without my tendons becoming inflamed and scar tissue on the tendons never completely heals. Why do you need to play so fast? Seems like an obvious answer to your situation to me...

I know this from first hand experience as I played incorrectly from when I first started (12 or so) to 28. At 28 I took lessons from a concert pianist and learned in my first lesson how to correctly approach the keyboard. It took me about three months before that approach was second nature. I sincerely do not see how _correctly_ playing the piano (any piano) would result in problems. My opinion.

Let me just ask you a question, ok? If the Yamaha actions are too heavy for you, and they don't feel great to you, then why the heck are you using the p250? I mean, one reason why you got rid of the p120 was the action, yet, the p250 has the EXACT same action, and you don't mind it. I don't get it rintincop.
BTW, you whine about your problems too much. Just keep it to yourself. I can't believe you measure the pressure you have to push the key down with.
O boy, and look what rintincop did to this topic. He changed all of his posts to other questions, so he can try and cover up. He now has questions like "does it have a good horn sound?" Rintincop, the damage is done.
