Since me Kawai CA-51 digital piano has some noisy keys (mostly black ones) when released, I disassembled it to check what is the cause of the problem. In the end I haven't managed to understand what's the problem, but I've made some videos and photos of the process.

Here's the video of the disassembled piano with me showing how AWA Grand PRO II action works:

Photos of the disassembling process with instructions will be posted later. Stay tuned!

Thanks for posting Shirakawa! I am considering to upgrade my Yamaha P80 for Kawai CA with AWA Grand PRO II, famous for its most natural touch among all existing digital pianos, yet it is also notorious for noisy keys, the problem which aggravates with time on some units. Did you manage to find the remedy for your piano keybard?

No, I haven't managed to find the remedy. It's not the usual squeaking noise, it's like a little /thud!/ which occurs only on some black keys when they are quickly released. My guess is that the white plastic hammers that can be seen in the photos partially collide with the back wooden part of the keys when released. There are no other moving parts.

Anyway, it's not a loud noise and it doesn't affect playing performance (for example the squeaking noise on some of these of actions is associated with friction and sticky keys). If played at a proper volume, either with internal speakers or headphones, it's barely audible.

By the way, here are the photos. No description yet. Sorry for the messy room:

Thanks for these photos Shirakawa. I hope you'll give the instructions to disassemble too.
