What do you guys think of this piano in terms of sound, price and most importantly... KEYBOARD ACTION?

I believe you will get good value. It has features similar to the Privia PX-200 which I own, except you are also getting a stand and the extra 3 pedals. It is also similar to the PX-800 which is available in North America. I would go for it.

Thank you, folks. I've been looking online for hours hoping to find a review or feedback about the Casio Privia PX 720 since it is on sale at Costco right now. It says cb also but that doesn't make a difference, right?

Here are a few more questions about the Casio Privia PX 720 . There is not a manual available @ Costco, so...

It sells for $650.00. Is that a good price?

I've owned previous model PX700 for almost two years. Very happy with it, and it was cheap.

Here a comparison table of all PRIVIA's:

http://www.casio-intl.com/emi/piano/privia/spec.html

Look for the fact that the PX-800 has USB connection (for songs that can be transferred from the computer to digital piano memory), LINE OUT, and a much better amplification and better speakersystem than the PX-720 and costs only slightly more !

wink

I love my dark rosewood Yamaha CLP-240. She's as honest with me as a loyal dog but she sounds better.

If your looking for a good deal on Casio PX-700, call Fair Deal Music but HAGGLE!, you should get it for £329 + shipping...or less...don't accept the advertised price.

I have just returned from my Costco, where they too have the Px-720 for $649.99. Personally, I think that is an outstanding deal.

PX800 has more features, but the benefits come at a higher price.

Drunk3nFist, If you haven't made any hasty decisions there's some, brand new, in the box, Casio AP-45\'s going on eBay UK, I'm considering wagering a few quid on one myself.

Thank you drunk3nfist, for letting me piggy back on your question. I got the 720 from Costco myself, and am quite happy with it.

Thank you Eternal, for your feedback. I was most concerned about key action and it seems to respond quite nicely.

I haven't played much for 30 years....so, I'm digging out my once memorized classical music like Rhapsody in Blue and am on to a new journey with my Casio 720.

I am also tempted by the Costco deal on this PX-720 and this forum has been very helpful (compelling enough for me to register!).

If anyone has this, do you know how easy/difficult it is to take apart the stand? I'm about halfway through graduate school so I expect to be done and moving within a 2-3yrs.

If the design hasn't changed since PX700 (and I doubt that it has), then it's not that big of a deal - this is the smallest console piano out there. You should be able to take it appart in less than 15 minutes, and it's only a bit of a pain to put back together (usually easier if you have somebody else holding it up while you put the speaker cross piece in). Still if you plan on taking it appart every month or so, I'd go with PX320 instead, and get a wooden stand.

I purchased this piano today at Costco -- and am very happy! It was very easy to put together -- not complicated at all. It would be easy to take apart.
