Which instruments are usually in demand in orchestras? There are usually tons of keyboard players and violinists, but which instruments are sought after? What would be a wise instrument to learn as a secondary to keyboard to possibly find a job in an orchestra one day?

not flute/clarinet
loads of people do, and there are very few spaces in a symphony orchestra

bassoons a good one
ive been playing for 4 months
and ive already played one musical!

french horn. tuba. cello. viola.
all things you dont see too often at the moment

its best to pick something fairly easy
depending on how long you have to learn i spose

smile
