Hi, i am Cheong from Malaysia. Just took the American School of piano tuning, although still have much to learn hopefully i get it here. Besides Piano tuning i am an avid angler, casting my lure on malaysian rapids looking for afew species of large predator aplenty. I listen alot to classical piano recording although i wasn't a great player besides i love bossa. Maybe i can get musical notes for my most beloved piece by Oscar peteson's wave originally compose by Jobim. Forgiven me for my poor grammar.

Hi Cheong,

Welcome to Piano World and the Tuner-Technician's Forum. There is certainly a lot to learn in piano technology.

Oscar Peterson's version of "Wave" is sweet!

Welcome,

I'm also a new-ish tech of 4 years. I am having difficulty securing stable mentorship, so this site, Reblitz, Potter, and the tech journal are my mentor for now.

There are lots of guys willing to help, so search and ask away.

Thanks 4 the welcome. First n foremost i will be looking for ways to improve on my stability which had me wondering how long can they stand.. Stability when not establish, does the unison fades or the pitch drops? or both.

If the instability causes the piano to drop or rise in pitch at an equal rate throughout, it is an environmental issue.

When unisons get whiny, it is often because of pins not being properly set.

On new pianos, either type of instability is likely to occur.
