I'm writing a terminology thesis on pianoforte building and have to add a database with all technical terms. I have the terms but need exact defintions for them, for instance all the parts of the grand piano action ...
Any idea where I could get information like this?

Hi Pianolover:
The best reference I know for your needed information is the book "Piano Parts & Their Functions" by Merle H. Mason. Amazon has it in their used book section. It is the most complete guide to piano nomenclature. If you know a piano technician, he may have it in his library and be willing to let you borrow it. There are other sources, but none as complete.
