Can someone tell me how to raise the volume a little on my EP100? There must be a potentiometer in there somewhere for this but I don't have the service manual. Thank you for any help. -Rick

Gee, I think you are bringing back a memory from the 70s. If I'm not mistaken those electric pianos are spinet-sized instruments with strings, a real (spinet) piano action, and no soundboard. Instead the strings cross a transducer-type bridge from which the sound is amplified and fed to speakers.

You are looking for the volume control. It should be fairly easy to find, I would think--under the keybed or behind the lower front panel. The wires from the speakers will lead to the amp(s) and you should find the pots there, if not more obviously elsewhere.

You might want to find a service manual, anyway. Do a Google search; there are various folks out there who specialize in providing copies of old service manuals.

Thanks for the reply Mike. There actually is no volume control on the EP100s so I'm now looking for a good place, maybe a line-out, to plug in a keyboard-type amp. I have looked for a service manual on the internet but have not found anyone that has one yet. I'll keep looking. I still don't know why they made these little pianos so quiet. Thanks again. -Rick
