Since there has been some dicussion on this forum about the dormant state of the Tornoto PTG chapter I thought that I would post this information. You don't have to be a member to attend. All technicians in the GTA (and beyond) area are welcome. Also, the next fall and winter meeting are in the planning stages, so we are back in business. Anyone wanting further information should PM me here.

The Next Meeting of the Toronto PTG chapter will be held at Pianohouse
Burlington in Burlington Ontario on October 15th at 7:30pm. Pianohouse is located on Harvester
Rd., one block south of the QEW. Pianohouse is situated between
Burloak and Appleby Line exits from the highway.

Pianohouse Burlington is the exclusive Mason & Hamlin distributor for
eastern Canada, so this is a chance to see and hear some really fine
grand pianos.

The tecnical will be a power point presentation on Kawai's new carbon
fiber piano actions and a chance to try out a
Fujan carbon fiber tuning lever. www.fujanproducts.com

We are also looking at introducing the P.A.C.E program as a regular
part of our meetings. The program was designed to prepare technicians
for the PTG exams. By including the program as a regular technical
feature we hope to prepare our associate members so they can proceed
confidently to testing and RPT status.

John Lillico has selected Clancy's Pub, 4490 Fairview St. That’s on
the south/west corner of Appleby and Fairview, one block south of
Harvester, right by McDonald’s as a place to gather for those who
would like to "eat and greet" before the meeting. Techs will be
gathering there around 6pm.

I'd love to join a gathering of Ontario techs... I'm just a bit too far away right now, but I am sure the day will come...

But Gee, Thomson, how did you manage to position this thread at the top of the page, above the notice of Del's Book? That thread has been there since shortly after Noah's ark...

Hi Jurgen, Nice to have you back. I didn't place this posting here so I'm not sure how that happens. If I did I'm sure I would abuse it mercilessly.

If you do find yourself out this way we'd be happy to have you show off some of your interesting gadgets and wares at a meeting.

Considering what is going on around here today Jurgen we just might need another ark…….

Maybe a time limit on how long it was stuck up there? (Actually the server is acting a bit weird today……….)

I'm a little embarassed that this notice is still stuck up here at the top of the page. I didn't put it here so I'm not sure how to get it down from here. Maybe if I shake my computer really hard...

The meeting went well Jerry. We had twenty technicians out. I expect we'll do better with attendance in November since the October meeting notice got out a bit late. We have the next 3 meetings planned out so were on a roll.

Next year is the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Toronto chapter. There was some talk about putting on a two day weekend technical next year since that is the way the chapter got started 30 years ago.

Good to hear Thomson. Thanks for letting me know. Hey, as long as it's still on top, have you thought about editing it and advertising for next month's meeting? Might as well! :-)

Thompson, please put me on the invite list for next year's meeting, if it is a two day event. I would seriously consider coming out from the West Coast for an event like that.
