Tuned to Ron Koval's 1.2 temperament. It's a great tuning file which is very mild in terms of temperament. Three great options I've discovered here, Bill Bremmer's EBVT, Broadwood's Best and now Koval 1.2 which is probably the mildest of all.

You might also give the KV2.1 a try, (Koval Variable 2.1) it is of similar strength as the EBVT, with a bit of different balance between the keys. The KV4.4 brings the strength about the same as the Broadwood you mentioned.


I see mine as a slightly different approach to tuning. The EBVT and the historical tunings were developed aurally, so tuning "recipes" work with beats and beat ratios to alter tunings from pure intervals. By using electronic tuning devices, my tunings are worked back from equal temperament; the spreadsheet can allow the tuning machines to work to their greatest strengths of splitting the octave into any series of steps, equal, or otherwise.

One 'bonus' is that any tuner competent with a modern electronic tuning device can experiment with my tunings with little training in tuning historical temperaments, and be reasonably sure of getting the intended result.
