Both pianos are in excellent conditions and sound good. However, I'm finding it difficult to judge these by sound quality alone, since one is located on a wooden floor in an open space and the other one is right under a concrete staircase on a tile floor. The dealer has been advising me that the KU2 is generally speaking a better piano than the K50, but I have only read good things about the K50, and cannot seem to find much comments/reviews on the KU2.

Your advice is much appreciated.

If both piano have excellent condition and produce equal good sound. Go for younger age piano, Kawai KU2 manufacured in late 60's while Kawai K50 manufactured in late 90's.
