I would like to know, if anybody can help me to get the names of some parts of the piano in Spanish, such as:
Soundboard
Rim case
Pin block
Action
Bridges
Treble bell
and also some of the woods such as: mahogany, birch, spruce and ebony.
I would like to know how to refer to the scale de design.

You might also find these pages helpful.

They are from a web site called "Mr. Land's Opus".

The action models and explanation of piano parts are excellent.

That reminds me of the first time I saw the term "wrest plank" in describing a piano! It took me a good couple of weeks to figure it out on my own.

Good grief, is it so hard to use the same terms in all of the countries that use English? confused wink

Thanks to everybody for your help, sorry I didn't reply early because I took a short vacation, Ib you asked what is my natonality, I'm Turkish from Instabul. By the way Thomas I posted the same topic in PIANOMUNDO.COM but no he tenido suerte (no luck)I got much better help from the guys in this site.
Is really interesting how much the names can change from one language to another.
For example Sounboard means in Spanish literally "tabla de sonido" but they call it "tapa armonica" which means Harmonic lid.

Ib, I don't know him, but if you visit him tell him that you know one more Turk trying to make a living abroad, mention to him my name may be he knows me, my name is Bozkurt Erkmen, and if you are going to Turkey I can give you some tips to make the best of your trip. By the way Turkey is comming up with a Piano brand that it may go out to the rest of the world, I hope by the time that you visit, they will be already out in the stores. Turkey has lots of people living in Germany and must of them work in the manufacture of many German products, for what I know this business Turkish man is starting this project with the help of few German piano makers as partners and a large crew of Turks who has been working in Gemany's piano factories.
