I just got my upright a month or two ago and I don't claim to have perfect pitch. But I can almost swear that the octive below middle 'c' is to flat and it just sounds mudddy for lack of a better word.
So I figure the only thing to do about it is to have it tuned again, but it just got tuned a month or two ago.
Is it bad to have it tuned again so close to the last tunning?
Also, on a sort of non-related note. I live in New York and my apartment gets pretty darn warm because of the heat pipes in my building and I'm afraid for the piano because there's not to much ventalation in the room it's in until I get home. Then I can open my bedroom door (where the piano is) and let air in.
Is it that bad for the piano to be in a warm room? I try to keep the humidifer on at night, but isn't that just another bad idea because then the humidity level is always changing. Because I can't leave the humidifier on all day when I'm not there just incase it starts a fire or something terrible like that.
Need advice on this, thanks for your thoughts.
