I have a piano about which I have very little information. It is a Yamaha 8ft grand which I gather predates the CFIII and was the Japanese concert grand of choice back in the day - or so I have been told. The plate is stamped with SC (as the model name, I presume). However, that is all I know or think I know about it. I have tried looking up the model on the web with no luck at all. In fact, the yamaha website makes no mention of this model either. I gather they were never regularly imported to the US. Still, I want to know more about it. Has anybody in the technician realm run across one of these puppies? I'd sure love to here any info you have. Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim: I don't have an answer, but I know who will. Mark Wisner is a Yamaha acoustic piano specialist who often comes up with answers to questions like yours on the Piano Technicians Guild forum. His address is: mwisner@yamaha.com Good Luck. PNO2NER
