I bought "Complete Piano Music," played by Frekrik Ullen. Holy cow!

Ok, first, I love this music. I think it's kind of strange that I do, because mostly I listen to Bach these days (and Handel, but for different reasons). But this is just beautiful music.

But my question is, how many people learn this stuff? I mean, this must just be incredibly difficult to learn. And it is so idiosyncratic.

Can any of you please shed any light on what this music is, and how widely accepted and played it is in the world generally? I know nothing about it, other than having read a review and deciding to order the CD...

I love Ligeti's music as well. I think his music is definitely gaining popularity. His music always has well thought-out concepts behind it.
