Hey, folks. I hope everyone has been well since the last time I posted on these pages, which was...wow, probably two years ago at least! Not really any reason for my absence since then, but I just thought I'd poke my head in and say "hello" to those who may remember me (and to those who may be newer around these parts).

Anyway, I think it's time I let on my true identity, since I seem to recall having done that with only a few people over private messages. There's really no reason to hide anymore; in fact, I can't even recall why I thought it would be a good idea to remain anonymous in the first place! Who knows. I don't imagine that there are too many psychos lurking around a classical piano forum! (Please put *down* the space helmet and lubricating jelly! I'm only kidding! Lurk all you want!)

Anywaaaay..a few major things have happened, career-wise, since the last time I visited here, most notably the release of my newest recording (on the Harmonia Mundi label - w00t w00t!!). I'm really happy with how it turned out; the piano and hall were ideal, and the engineer was a genius; he made me sound like a million bucks, no joke! And I'm eternally grateful to the American Pianists Association for making it possible.

Well, enough about that. I'm just glad to be back after being away for so long (for no good reason), and I look forward to being back in touch with those of you I'd been in touch with before, as well as with new people, whomever you may be.

Meanwhile, here is a small taste of what I've been up to:

Take care, and talk to you soon!

Fondly,

Hey...were you in Schein's studio at Aspen in '93 or '94?

I was in Schein's studio in Aspen in '96 and '97. Studied with her at Peabody from '94-'00.

While we're name dropping... smile

I met Regina Schenderovich last summer at Music Academy in Lowenthal-sensei's studio. Really good player and a very nice person. She said she knew you from Fleisher's studio.

Yeah, Regina's sweet and definitely a good player; unfortunately, we never hung out all that much, so I can't say I know her all that well. But we definitely shared many hours under Fleisher-sensei's gaze! wink

Thanks, Sam! Or "PJ"! wink What have you been doing lately? Where are you in school? The last time we had any appreciable communication, you were just entering undergraduate studies, to the best of my recollection.

Welcome back. I don't think we talked 'way back when,' as I was here just to search for a new piano. Then I decided to stay and continue the conversation about all the other stuff people talk about here.

P.S. My son's teacher went to Peabody, but that was well before your time there.

Thanks, "Dad"! wink I actually just played a recital in Williamsburg last month with violinist friend. It's a great little town. Do you know the shop "The Precious Gem"? Long story...anyway, who was/is your son's teacher?
