By 'together' I presume you actually mean one after the other, rather than simultaneously laugh .

Best wishes,
Matthew

That would definitely be an intense combination...no 2 in the left hand and no 1 in the right (or vice versa?). There's a video on youtube of Hamelin playing all three a minor studies at the same time...that's hard. Godowsky's transcriptions also make the origional Etudes look relatively easy

The first Chopin etude that got my son started on Op 10 was No 5. So I assumed that it was the easiest, but then it is up to the teacher to decide what each individual student level is. His second Chopin etude was Op 25, No 1.

I think it really depends on the player. I had an easy time learning op. 10 no. 1 because of the large size of my hands, and it's been steadily increasing in tempo ever since. It's not up to full speed, obviously, but it will be in probably another 6 months or so.

I'm thinking about starting Black Keys sometime in the future.

I'm not sure if 10/1 deserves the reputation it gets. Seems to me it's one of those pieces that if you feel comfortable in the technique (quite possible), then you really have the piece. Only the right hand is an issue and that is usually our better hand hey? (same goes for 10/2 I suppose, but I find it more difficult. It doesn't flow as easily, that's for sure)

10/4 gets my vote in op. 10 for bars 45 and 46 alone. Also 29-30
